Habitat and origin:

Cordyceps is a fungus mycelium which normally develops in the body of the caterpillar Hepialus Fabricius. During the years 2000-2009, was detected cases of contamination chloramphenicol (antibiotic toxic in high doses) in Italy, the UK and Australia, particularly in products imported from China.
